Below are some of my personal favourite review of certain articles i read on the strait times

Now I believe one of the top wanted people in Singapore has changed to our ever famous Mr Jerry Ee. I wonder, should I call him smart or just simply stupid. He is so smart that he actually cleaned out $7.9million in timepieces and cash and took off! Just like that, no alarm, no signs of break in, no one saw him did the crime. He is a genius (for now before he gets caught). He is able to speak Thai which I believe is a HUGE advantage as he can simply smuggle himself into Thailand and be a super duper rich man there where is can do whatever he wants, get his identity changed, get his face changed, be a woman whatever he can do with himself, he can do it in Thailand in THAI DOLLARS. That is luxury! While a applaud him to be extremely smart, he is stupid in a certain sense as if he does not get into Thailand in time, he will basically be stuck in Singapore with that $7.9 million. I doubt he can spend that as it would definitely arouse suspicion causing him to lose his freedom. He cannot meet his family or children. If I was in his situation, I would rather pray that I win a 1 million lottery than become a burglar that will cause me to lose everything. Regardless, I hope he manage to escape to Thailand so that Singapore can thoroughly go through its security system that once again, another wanted man has escaped. Singaporeans are taking our loop less security system for granted. It’s time we keep our eyes open and safeguard our properties at all times.


Some people abuse their maid, let their maid clean their windows and fall to their death, now they let their maid die in a drain. Could this case be a suicide? Or not? If I were to die, I will never allow myself to die in a drain. It is neither clean nor an oblivious place to end my life. What I am interested in is not how to maid died, but why did she die. Is it another case of maid abuse? Or perhaps she was killed by her Bangladesh boyfriend who does not want to break up with her, or perhaps something bad has happened back in Indonesia where her family lives? Maids, or I would prefer to call them housekeepers, travelled miles to come take care of our family while we give them a hard time paying them so little. I really do appreciate their help, although we are paying for their service, but they are really helping us, if they are unwilling to come over, we are still unable to move them even if we are willing to pay them a few thousand a month. We should learn to accept them not only into our houses but also in our hearts. We should talk to them like how to would talk to our friends and family. By treating her well, she will definitely treat us well too. Poor maid who died in the drain must have no one to talk to, causing her to turn to the arms of death. Maid agencies should educate them that no matter what happens, they are able to turn to the agencies that will protect their rights. My grandparents had a maid and we really had trouble communicating with her. She was only 19 when she worked with us and cried all night long because she had problems understanding us. We called the agency hoping that we could get another maid or perhaps get the agency to talk to the maid and tell her that we mean no harm. And yet, when our maid called the agency, the agency screamed into the phone, basically yelling into her ears how incompetent she was. I believe stricter rules and regulations should be set to save the maids.


Pretty girls are more likely to cheat. I have to agree to a large extent (this sounds like I am writing a social studies’ essay). Pretty woman attract attention. With attention they are more prone to dress well, portray themselves better, speak in a nicer tone and thus they have higher confidence. Not saying that all pretty girls are like that but that is for MOST. Pretty woman think that they have what it takes for men to fight for them, they are not satisfied by being together with just one man (unless the guy is Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise or even Donald trump). Hear of the theory the grass is always greener on the other side? This theory works for almost all cases. Pretty girls just feel that men out there who treat them well are better than what they have. They have to desire to not only be the centre of attention of their own man, but also other men. This is just to boost their self-esteem and confidence. They need and want love from all over the place. Or are they too lonely? However, in some cases, ugly women cheat as well. Men think that ugly people do not cheat because they are ugly. Ugly women have the ability to cheat because they desire the attention from guys a million times more than those pretty girls. They are able to portray this unattainable perfection in their character that pretty girls do not have. They can be so sweet and caring towards a guy that moves their tiny little heart. Never underestimate women. Even though pretty girls have a higher rate of cheating due to their more appealing appearance and hormones, ugly girls do cheat, and when they do, guys are devastated as they would rather have a pretty girlfriend who cheats than an ugly one. It’s hurting to their ego.
